Role Mission

To lead a high-performance partner delivery team in configuring Jeppesen’s mission-criticalCrew and Operations management systems. You will ensure your team translates complex airline business rules into stable, high-value technical solutions while adhering to Jeppesen’s rigorous global delivery standards.

Core Responsibilities
● Squad Leadership: Lead a delivery “slot” consisting of Analysts and Configuration Developers to execute end-to-end implementation tasks.
● Technical Authority: Act as the primary technical interface for Python-based business logic and RAVE (proprietary rule language) configuration.
● Scope & Quality Control: Manage technical debt and “margin drag” by ensuring the team follows standardized implementation playbooks to avoid bespoke rework.
● Integration Management: Oversee the development of enterprise-grade connectors to replace legacy bespoke integrations, ensuring compliance with ARINC 424/633 standards.
● Performance Optimization: Work closely with Jeppesen’s Chief Systems Officers (CSOs) to tune optimization parameters for airline-specific constraints like union agreements and fatigue risk.
● Testing & Validation: Lead the “Parallel Operations” phase, comparing legacy system outputs against new configurations to validate safety margins and fuel/cost savings.

Preferred “Nice to Have” Skills
● AI/ML Familiarity: Understanding of how AI can automate configuration code generation or interpret complex project documentation.
● Industry Standards: Familiarity with ARINC data exchange protocols.

Requirements

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • 6+ years of working experience working with Python
  • Advanced knowledge of the English language in both verbal and written communications

Valuable Skills/Experience:

  • MSc or BSc in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent
  • Airline and specifically Crew and / or Operations planning
  • Rave knowledge
  • Working with clients and their end users
  • Managing a codebase using a tool such as Git and GitLab/GitHub, or equivalent Development and administration in Linux systems
  • Software testing
  • Functional Programming
