Description

As a Principal Product Designer at GlobalLogic, you will play a pivotal role in crafting the user experience of our industry-leading B2B enterprise software products. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead and influence the design direction across multiple platforms, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering simple, consistent, and innovative workflows and interfaces that delight our users.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience as an interaction designer, UX/UI designer, experience designer, or similar role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Interaction Design or related discipline
  • Graduate degree in HCI or similar strongly preferred
  • Demonstrable expertise via professional experience in core user interface and user experience design principles and practices – Human Factors, UCD, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Information Architecture, Data Visualization, etc. – with a design portfolio showcasing work examples of web-based, mobile, and desktop application interface design that demonstrates mastery of these principles and practices
  • Experience conducting user interviews, usability tests, heuristic evaluations and competitive research and analysis to inform designs
  • Experience creating workflow diagrams, low fidelity wireframes, highly detailed wireframes, and interactive prototypes for complex user flows for enterprise desktop, web and mobile applications
  • Expert in Figma and other prototyping and design software solutions
  • A self-starter who takes initiative to execute the design process and create highly usable, best-in-class designs, with a practiced ability to take direction and guidance well, ask for feedback early and often, and collaborate with design team and scrum teams to meet deadlines
  • Experience with the fast-paced Agile software development process, including rapid design iteration, prototyping, writing user stories, and using Agile project management tools such as Jira
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with a practiced ability to articulate design concepts and design rationale to development teams as well as executives
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables, and make appropriate and sound decisions in a fast-paced work environment
  • Comfortable leading and working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Health care and enterprise software experience strongly preferred
  • English fluency, both verbal and written.
  • Availability for hybrid work scheme in Guadalajara.

Job responsibilities

  • Define, deliver, and continually improve the end-to-end user experience for our software products, striving for simplicity and consistency across platforms (desktop, mobile, PC, Mac, native mobile).
  • Understand end users and their environments, translate requirements into user-friendly designs with data-driven insights.
  • Plan, organize, and implement user research activities to guide data-driven design, integrating feedback into design solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with Product Management and Engineering teams to refine business requirements and ensure user-centric considerations are accounted for in all acceptance criteria.
  • Build design artifacts, such as workflows, journey maps, wireframes, and UI design specifications, to gather collaborator and user feedback, validate solutions, and aid technical development.
  • Present design work to collaborators, customers, and partners, clearly explaining thought processes and rationale to ensure alignment with product goals and strategy.
  • Keep up to date with evolving UX and UI design standard methodologies, demonstrating and advocating for them within the team.
  • Mentor and coach other members of the Product Design team to foster growth and development.
  • Occasionally travel to customers within the U.S. to conduct research and testing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required.
