Description

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer (Backend) with 7–10 years of experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python (Pytest), API Testing (Postman, RestAssured), and Database Testing (PostgreSQL mandatory), along with hands-on experience in ETL testing and CI/CD integration.

Requirements

• Strong in Python & Pytest
• API Automation (Postman, RestAssured)
• Database Testing – PostgreSQL (mandatory) / MySQL (optional)
• Strong experience in ETL Testing
• Hands-on in Framework Design from Scratch
•  Familiarity with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI)

Job responsibilities

• Design and build automation frameworks from scratch using Python (Pytest).
• Perform Backend Testing including API/Webservices/ETL testing.
• Conduct API Testing with Postman and automate REST APIs (Postman, RestAssured).
• Work with PostgreSQL (mandatory) and write/optimize SQL queries for DB validations.
• Contribute to test strategy, design, and execution for backend applications.
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI).
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases.
