Automate the transformation of diverse RFQ inputs into standardized User Requirement Specifications (URS) to reduce manual effort and cycle time.

Requirements

We are seeking a Business Analyst for a high-intensity, 3-month MVP. Your goal is to deconstruct complex, non-standardized industrial RFQs and define the logic required for the GenAI team to transform them into standardized User Requirement Specifications (URS).
You will be the primary owner of the “Golden Set” (the ground-truth data) and will work closely with client-side SMEs to ensure the AI’s extraction logic matches the technical nuances of Micro Automation’s business processes.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years as a Business Analyst, preferably within industrial automation, manufacturing, or complex engineering sectors.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to work with structured data (JSON/Excel) and a solid understanding of how LLMs process information (context windows, prompt-based extraction).
• Analytical Rigor: Exceptional attention to detail; ability to spot inconsistencies between a technical drawing and a written requirement.
• Tools: Excel, PDF, Word skills for data mapping and version comparison.
• Communication: Fluent English; ability to translate complex business needs into technical tickets.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with RFQ/Quotation workflows.
• Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) concepts and how “grounding” affects data accuracy.
• Experience working in rapid, 3-month MVP or PoC environments.

Job responsibilities

• Requirements Mapping: Analyze diverse RFQ document structures (PDFs, tables, technical drawings) and map them to a unified, standardized URS template in Excel.
• Golden Set Management: Create and maintain the “Golden Set” of documents used to benchmark the Hybrid Extraction Engine’s accuracy.
• AI Output Validation: Conduct rigorous “Human-in-the-Loop” validation of AI-generated requirements, identifying patterns in “hallucinations” or missed data.
• Process Documentation: Formalize the logic for “Reliability Gating”—defining the criteria for what constitutes a high-confidence vs. low-confidence AI extraction.
• SME Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for client-side SMEs to clarify technical engineering terms and resolve process knowledge gaps.
