We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, cloud-native data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will be responsible for defining enterprise data architecture, enabling modern analytics and AI/ML capabilities, and guiding engineering teams to build secure, high-performance, and scalable data solutions.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in modern data architectures, cloud data platforms, and large-scale data engineering, with strong hands-on experience in GCP.

 

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data platforms.
• Strong experience designing and implementing cloud-native data solutions on GCP.
• Hands-on expertise with key GCP services:
• BigQuery
  Dataflow
  Pub/Sub
  Dataproc
  Cloud Storage
  Composer (Airflow)
• Deep understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures.
• Strong experience with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Beam).
• Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT frameworks, and large-scale pipeline design.
• Experience enabling advanced analytics, AI/ML, and real-time data platforms.
• Understanding of vector databases and integration with Vertex AI.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and privacy best practices.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders and translate business needs into scalable solutions.

Job responsibilities

• Define and drive the enterprise data architecture strategy aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Architect and implement modern data platforms on GCP, including ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics layers.
• Design and build scalable batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Lead architecture for data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse platforms.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, AI/ML, and engineering teams to enable data-driven applications.
• Establish data governance, security, lineage, and compliance frameworks.
• Provide guidance on data modeling, performance optimization, and cloud-native best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend data technologies, tools, and architectural patterns.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to data engineers and architects.
