Description

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer (JS, TS, ReactJS, Node.js), to join our team in Romania.
In this role, you will contribute significantly to the development of a data exchange platform that supports real-time communication and data synchronization with external systems, building the necessary infrastructure for critical integrations.

Our client is a B2B SaaS company specialized in compliance and ethics solutions. Their flagship product is a whistleblowing and compliance platform facing growing demand for robust integrations. Many large enterprise and U.S. clients require a public, bi-directional API to integrate this product with their diverse external case management tools.
This initiative is crucial for our client’s competitive advantage and to meet regulations.

Requirements

This position is ideal for an innovative and passionate engineer who wants to take ownership of features and delivery, collaborating closely with other developers and architects to evaluate, design, and implement innovative solutions. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, in a competitive environment.

• Professional full-stack development experience of 5+ years.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, and Node.js, with specific experience in NestJS being highly preferred.
• Extensive experience in creating and publishing APIs, with a focus on REST API development.
• Proven experience with distributed systems, microservices patterns.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git (GitLab).
• Familiarity with relational databases, NoSQL databases, and key-value stores.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as NewRelic, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Experience with testing frameworks – preferred: Playwright (E2E tests), k6.io (load tests), pact.io (contract tests), Jest.
• Ability to balance speed, scope, and maintainability in large systems, and work effectively within established architectures, focusing on consistency and delivery.
• Skilled in creating clear technical documentation and implementation strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Upper-intermediate English (verbal & written).

Job responsibilities

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing ReactJS and Node.js microservices in alignment with the platform architecture and preferred NestJS framework.
• Implementing secure and scalable bi-directional API endpoints to facilitate case data exchange.
• Developing mechanisms to securely handle and exchange user-encrypted data, ensuring compliance with all relevant data protection regulations.
• Participating actively in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Ensuring code quality, reliability, and performance through thoughtful development practices, including unit testing, peer reviews, and comprehensive documentation.
• Aligning your work with existing patterns and decisions, effectively integrating into the established software ecosystem.
• Proactively identifying ways to reduce complexity, improve performance, and enhance the overall user experience across the system.
• Troubleshooting and debugging both frontend and backend issues.
• Documenting and communicating your work clearly to support smooth deployment and maintenance.
• Advocating and implementing Agile methodologies to promote innovation and collaboration.
