Join a team of a recognised leader in the digital media and data science space. This project operates at the intersection of consumer behaviour, advanced data analytics, and targeted digital advertising.

Our client is instrumental in driving, tracking, and measuring sales lift for leading Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) retailers and brands across the globe.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 8–10 years of enterprise systems administration experience, with 5+ years in Workday Prism Analytics and foundational experience in Workday Financials.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Trial Balances).
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and working familiarity with IFRS, with the ability to validate financial reporting accuracy.

Workday Prism Analytics Expertise

  • Experience building and managing tables, base datasets, and derived datasets.
  • Proven ability to design and optimize dataset pipelines with transformations (Join, Union, Group By, Filter, Explode, Unpivot).
  • Strong proficiency in Prism calculated fields and the Prism Expression Language.
  • Proven ability to manage ETL-like workflows within Workday Prism (extract, transform, load).
  • Skilled at managing schema changes, field types, and NULL handling.
  • Experience applying and auditing Prism data source security.
  • Proficiency in Prism Audit Reports, dataset lineage, and field lineage for governance and compliance.

Workday Financials Foundation

  • Familiarity with Core Financials modules and related processes.
  • Ability to reconcile Prism datasets with Workday Financials reporting.
  • Experience supporting Finance teams in multi-currency, consolidation, and compliance reporting scenarios.

Other Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel for data validation, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Data Warehousing and Databases for querying, transformations, and troubleshooting of data errors.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to Finance and business users.
  • Proven ability to lead data and reporting projects from requirements gathering through delivery.
  • Commitment to knowledge-sharing and mentoring to build Prism expertise across the team.

Job responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize tables, base datasets, and derived datasets from Workday and external sources, managing connections via SFTP (on-premise) and APIs (cloud-based).
  • Create and manage Prism pipelines with transformations such as Join, Union, Group By, Filter, Explode, and Unpivot to enrich and prepare data for analysis.
  • Develop and optimize Prism calculated fields using the Prism Expression Language to deliver deeper insights.
  • Manage dataset schema changes, field types, and NULL handling to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Configure and manage Prism data source security in alignment with Workday’s domain security model.
  • Monitor job performance and troubleshoot pipeline issues using the Prism Management Console, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Deliver discovery boards, dashboards, and custom reports that provide Finance leadership with actionable insights.
  • Use Prism Audit Reports and dataset lineage tracking to maintain data governance, validate accuracy, and support compliance.

Workday Financials Foundation

  • Apply foundational knowledge of Workday Financials modules (Core Financials, Procurement, Expenses, Assets, Banking) to validate Prism outputs and reporting accuracy.
  • Support Finance in reconciling Prism datasets with ledgers, balance sheets, and intercompany transactions.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams to meet global reporting needs, including multi-currency, consolidations, and GAAP/IFRS compliance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead adoption of Workday release features for Prism and Workday Financials by performing fit/gap analyses, testing, and enabling Finance users through workshops and training.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver reliable Prism solutions and integrations.
  • Support audit and compliance requests by providing clear documentation of Prism datasets, security, and data lineage.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen Prism performance, governance, and reporting efficiency.
  • Mentor colleagues and business users to increase organizational capability in Prism and reduce support dependency.
