The role ensures that shared platform components developed by China R&D can be securely, compliantly, and reliably deployed within the EU cloud and enterprise environment. The assignment includes acting as the primary technical interface between EU application teams, EU IT infrastructure, and China platform engineering. You will define and maintain the EU reference architecture, manage EU deployment requirements, and ensure alignment with China’s platform roadmap and architecture decisions.
Key assignment responsibilities include:
• Platform architecture & adaptation
o Own the EU reference architecture for agent runtime, model gateway, connector/tooling framework, and SDK layer.
o Adapt shared China-built components for EU deployment and compliance.
o Define and enforce Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) where EU requirements diverge.
o Represent EU needs in China–EU joint architecture reviews (compatibility, breaking changes, roadmap).
• EU deployment & IT interface
o Deploy and operate platform services on approved EU cloud infrastructure in collaboration with Cloud/DevOps and EU IT.
o Own the technical aspects of the IT operating-level agreement (provisioning, IAM, network, incident escalation).
o Ensure compliance with EU data-residency, retention, and cross-border transfer requirements.
o Integrate platform services with EU enterprise systems (identity providers, internal APIs, document/data platforms).
Data & knowledge integration
o Define secure connector patterns for Big Data & Knowledge Database Services (vector search, enterprise search, knowledge graph).
o Partner with Data/Knowledge Engineering on retrieval quality and access-control requirements.
• Enablement & technical leadership
o Provide reusable patterns, SDKs, and architecture reviews to EU application teams.
o Maintain the build–adapt–reuse decision framework for EU use cases.
o Mentor and unblock application engineers on platform integration issues.
Expected outcomes within the first 6 months:
• Approved and documented EU platform reference architecture aligned with China R&D.
• Core platform services deployed in EU cloud with baseline observability and security controls.
• At least one EU application team building on reusable platform patterns rather than one-off integrations.
• Established IT operating agreement and China–EU architecture review cadence.
