Description
We are looking for an experienced and highly technical QA Lead / QA Manager with a strong background in hardware, smart home, and IoT device testing to lead complex E2E quality initiatives.
The Lead will oversee end-to-end product validation, collaborate with global stakeholders, and drive parallel testing tracks for next-generation smart home IoT devices (sensors, smart doorbells, cameras, and connected hubs).
This role requires a blend of deep technical testing expertise (manual and automated), hands-on test strategy creation, and practical project leadership skills to plan, push forward, and take full responsibility for complex hardware/software test execution.
You will join a high-performing engineering department dedicated to delivering cutting-edge connected device solutions for leading global consumer electronics and telecommunications brands.
The project environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and technically rich. Your work will directly impact millions of connected end-users, ensuring that smart home devices perform reliably in real-world conditions. By combining technical QA rigor with structured project tracking and executive-level communication, you will safeguard delivery performance, technical clarity, and product quality across the entire IoT program.

- 5+ years in QA, including 2+ years as a QA Lead or QA Manager in IoT, consumer electronics, or embedded devices.
- Experience planning and driving parallel test tracks across distributed teams, with ownership of on-time delivery.
- Solid understanding of E2E IoT testing: hardware (sensors, cameras, doorbells, hubs), firmware, cloud, and mobile apps.
- Experience creating test strategies, test plans, and acceptance criteria for multi-component systems.
- Good understanding of manual and automation testing approaches (API, UI, regression) and experience of its implementation.
Education & Languages:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Fluent English, with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders and write clear status reports.
Nice to Have:
- Wireless protocols (Wi-Fi, BLE, Zigbee, Matter, Thread) and debugging tools (Wireshark, ADB, Postman, serial logs).
- Experience with mobile or firmware test automation.
- JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.
Job responsibilities
- Plan work for manual and automation QA teams across parallel tracks, aligned with release milestones.
- Track progress, quality gates, and test metrics, and keep a clear view of status and blockers.
- Contribute to test strategies, test plans, and test documentation together with Test Leads.
- Help teams with root-cause analysis of complex defects through logs and system behavior.
- Prepare quality status reports and release sign-off materials for client and management.
- Lead and mentor QA engineers across locations.
- Remove blockers and coordinate with dependent teams (firmware, cloud, app, client teams).
- Identify risks early and escalate, drive/supervice till risk is eliminated.
