Description
- Development Experience: 2–4 years of experience in software development, preferably within an automotive or embedded systems context.
- Programming Skills: Solid proficiency in Python/Pytest and strong fundamentals in C-style languages (CAPL/C++).
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git and familiarity with Gerrit code review processes.
- Automotive Basics: Basic knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and ECU diagnostics.
- Mindset: Proactive problem-solver with the ability to work under the guidance of senior engineers in an agile environment (VIRA/Jira).
Requirements
We are looking for a motivated Software Developer to support the expansion of our Vehicle-In-The-Loop (VIL) and Hardware-In-The-Loop (HIL) simulation capabilities. In this role, you will contribute to the daily software engineering and maintenance of our test infrastructure, refactoring legacy code into modern frameworks and developing automated solutions. This is an ideal position for a developer looking to specialize in automotive embedded systems and DevOps integration.
Job responsibilities
- Feature Implementation: Develop and maintain software components for test execution using CAPL and vTestStudio, utilizing Python for system orchestration.
- Refactoring & Porting: Support the modernization of existing repositories by refactoring code and porting test logic to a unified, scalable codebase.
- Library Development: Build and update shared support libraries to facilitate automated execution across diverse hardware rig environments.
- CI/CD Support: Manage the integration of test software within CI pipelines and monitor automated gates to ensure continuous stable delivery.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including test specifications and environment descriptions, using Markdown and Confluence.
- System Debugging: Analyze software execution logs and provide initial triage and debugging for failures in integrated VIL and HIL environments.
