Description

The client is one of the largest global independent private equity fund administrators, administering over $300 billion of private capital on behalf of its clients, with offices in New York, San Francisco, Boston, Stamford, Dallas, and Luxembourg.

They provide private fund sponsors with a best-in-class combination of people, processes, and technology to support operational infrastructure, financial reporting, and investor communications.

The project involves complex, data-driven enterprise systems deployed across multiple environments. The DevOps team is responsible for ensuring stable environments, reliable deployments, system observability, and efficient collaboration between development and QA teams. As a Trainee DevOps Engineer, you will learn DevOps best practices while supporting real-world enterprise infrastructure.

Requirements

0–1 year of experience in DevOps, system administration, cloud engineering, or related technical fields

Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and DevOps principles

Familiarity with Azure DevOps

Basic knowledge of Linux fundamentals

Basic understanding of Docker concepts

Basic understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery

Ability to read and understand pipeline logs, build results, and error messages

Basic understanding of configuration management concepts

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Proactivity and strong willingness to learn

Good time-management and prioritization skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

At least upper-intermediate level of English

Familiarity with Git and version control workflows

Awareness of cloud platforms, preferably Azure

Basic understanding of YAML syntax

Experience with documentation tools such as Confluence

Job responsibilities

Assisting in configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps under guidance

Reviewing build, test, and deployment pipeline results and logs

Supporting deployment processes to development and test environments

Working with pipeline variables, configuration files, and secrets

Assisting with Docker-based build and run configurations

Learning infrastructure and cloud concepts through existing Azure environments

Supporting documentation of pipelines, environments, and DevOps workflows

Collaborating with Dev, QA, and DevOps engineers during sprint activities

Participating in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
