Description

You’ll join product teams as a hands-on engineer who helps them work in an AI-native way. You’ll write production code, modernise pipelines and tooling, set up agentic development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.), and coach engineers to use AI effectively in their daily work.

Requirements

Strong software engineering background with production experience in TypeScript, Python, Java, or similar

Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar tools (Cursor, Codex CLI, Cline, Aider), including custom skills, subagents, and MCP server setup
Real experience with AI-native development: prompt-first development, AI pair programming, AI-assisted code review
Good knowledge of CI/CD (GitLab), Git workflows, and platform tooling, with the ability to improve existing setups
Experience working inside engineering teams, not only delivering in isolation
Enjoy coaching others through pairing, demos, and knowledge sharing
Comfortable with ambiguity: you can quickly understand an unfamiliar codebase, spot what to improve, and prioritise pragmatically

Nice to have

DevOps or platform engineering experience (infrastructure as code, Kubernetes/containers, observability)
Experience in financial services or other regulated environments
Work on internal developer platforms or golden path tooling
Knowledge of delivery metrics (DORA, cycle time, deployment frequency) and how to improve them

Job responsibilities

Join product squads early on: review how they work today, help shape the transformation backlog, and start delivering right away
Reduce tech debt and modernise CI/CD pipelines in the team’s production codebase
Create and maintain AGENTS.md / CLAUDE.md files so AI tools understand the product and codebase
Roll out shared platform assets (agents, templates, CI/CD patterns) into live repositories and make sure they fit existing workflows
Build custom Claude Code skills and subagents for the team’s domain to automate repetitive work, code generation, and code reviews
Coach engineers on AI-native habits: prompt-first PRs, AI-assisted reviews, and everyday use of agentic tools
Share learnings and reusable assets with the Central Platform Team
