Description

• Experience in Linux distribution packaging and build systems.
• Package Management: Deep background in Debian packaging (dpkg, apt, debuild), metapackage creation, and repository maintenance.
• Systems Programming: Proficiency in C/C++, Bash, and Python for low-level build script modifications.
• Dependency Auditing: Experience resolving cross-compilation conflicts, library dependencies, and multi-arch build issues.

Requirements

• Resolve cross-compilation errors, header mismatches, and build dependencies across internal C/C++ libraries.
• Partner with SRE teams to integrate updated packages into internal artifact repositories.

Job responsibilities

• Audit all internal software dependency definitions to ensure full compatibility with ARM architectures.
• Update, port, and rebuild Debian source packages and metapackages for the ARM platform target.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

 

GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed remotely to be $140,000 to $150,000 and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good-faith estimate, and the amount offered may be higher or lower.
