Description:

Our client is a multi-brand retailer based in Montreal, Canada specialising in the sale of designer fashion and high end streetwear. It was founded as an e-commerce platform in 2003. 

Our client is looking for a Mid+/Sr Data Engineer to join our rapidly growing technology team. The ideal candidate will actively contribute to knowledge dissemination within the organization, participate in the recruiting and onboarding of new employees.

Requirements:

    3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
    Strong SQL skills
    Experience of Data warehouse building (Dimensional modeling or other)
    Proficient with ETL jobs development, deployment and supporting through their lifecycle.
    Hands-on work with AWS and good knowledge of its sub-components and services
    Hands-on exprience with Python and pySpark
    Experience with the next AWS services: S3, Step Function, Lambdas, Glue, Redshift, Athena
    Nice-to-have experience: Jupiter, docker, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Airflow

    Experience with Agile projects
    Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle
    Perfect communication and cooperation skills
    Ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
    Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills
    Advanced English
    A degree in CS/ Math/ technical qualification

Job Responsibilities:

    You will be a part of a distributed Data Engineering Agile team and will communicate directly with colleagues from other geography
    Locally, you will be part of the scrum team
    As a developer, you will analyse and detail requirements, design, document, build, test and deploy the software product
    Together with your team you’ll carry responsibility for the product quality and stability in the production
    You will participate in standard development practices (code review, unit tests, design review, etc.) and SCRUM ceremonies
