Description

GlobalLogic is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with over 8 years of experience to provide technical leadership for a dedicated engineering team. This role focuses on the development and maintenance of a high-fidelity medical technology platform encompassing frontend, backend, and native mobile applications. While collaborating with the project architect, you will primarily focus on code quality, technical execution, and the mentorship of the engineering bench within a highly regulated environment.

Requirements

  • Professional Experience: 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record in technical leadership or principal-level roles.
  • Cloud & Backend: Advanced proficiency in developing Python-based services specifically within AWS environments.
  • Frontend Expertise: Extensive experience with Vue (2 & 3) frameworks for complex, state-heavy web applications.
  • Mobile & Multi-Platform: Familiarity with native mobile development (iOS/Swift) and multi-region SaaS architectures.
  • Regulated Industry Knowledge: Strong experience delivering software within a regulated framework (e.g., healthcare or medical devices) is highly preferred.
  • Tools & Observability: Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., Grafana k6) and observability stacks to monitor end-to-end workflows.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effectively coordinating with distributed teams and senior architects.
  • English: Advanced.

Job responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the tech lead for the engineering bench, overseeing day-to-day implementation across usability and performance workstreams.
  • Code Excellence: Lead rigorous code reviews and establish the quality bar for all technical deliverables to ensure they meet internal standards.
  • On-Call Management: Act as the captain for the on-call rotation, ensuring platform stability and overseeing production support.
  • Mentorship & Growth: Provide senior-level execution capacity while mentoring mid-level and senior engineers on the team.
  • Quality Governance: Work through internal review gates to ensure all software changes meet strict medical safety and compliance requirements.
  • Operational Stability: Support the expansion of test automation and performance testing coverage to ensure long-term system reliability.
  • Business Travel: Undertake periodic business trips to Poland as needed for team synchronization, planning, and stakeholder alignment.
