Description:
Product empowers event organizers to take control of their entire event experience with existing technology solutions. Using powerful ticketing, experiential marketing, mobile apps, and cashless products, organizers transform how audiences experience their events, drive nonstop engagement, and reach new audiences around the world. That’s why iconic brands like New York Comic Con, Coachella, Candytopia, NHL, and Dreamforce use this suite of integrated event technology to power their events.
The current team is responsible for creating a React-driven UI and series of API endpoints to create a new user interface for the existing platform. They are working closely with a product team for analyzing requirements and developing design specifications.
The effort is primarily focused on usability and decreasing effort and complexity for users. New team members will be embedded in an existing team which reports to a Lead engineer, and already has a UI engineer, Senior backend engineer and QA engineer. There is a Product owner and scrum master for the team.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience with Sass or other CSS preprocessors
- At least 5 years experience writing JavaScript as it pertains to the front-end and user interface
- At least 3 year experience developing with React.js
- Experience using Git or other version control systems
- Semantic, standards-compliant, accessible HTML
- Strong handle on CSS styling and best-practice methodologies
- Basic knowledge of interaction design concepts and terminology
- Familiarity with task/build runners (Webpack, Grunt, Gulp, etc.)
- Familiarity with Redux and TypeScript
- Experience with PHP or other server-side scripting languages
- Contributions to open source work
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with designers and software engineers to implement the user interface
- Leverage existing backends and APIs to make static designs functional
- Build and maintain reusable UI components and documentation
- Produce and test cross-browser and device-agnostic code
- Promote and champion best practices to maintain a clean, optimized, and efficient front-end
- Leverage platform style guide and UI components system to promote a cohesive and consistent user experience
