Description:
Our customer is a free, ad-supported Video on Demand (VOD) service that, in addition to on-demand options, primarily distributes its content through digital linear channels designed to emulate the experience of traditional broadcast programming.

Requirements:

– 4+ years of back-end applications and services development
– GoLang working experience (minimum 1+ years)
– JavaScript intermediate and Node.js development experience (will be a plus)
– Cloud-native design experience, preferably AWS stack.
– Knowledge of most common architectural patterns: Layered/Event Bus/Broker/Pipe Filter/etc. Understand pros and cons of each. Having practical experience with at least 2 of them.
– Good hands-on with core Golang packages
– Database experience: RDBMS (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle/etc) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis/Cassandra/etc)
– Practical application of software design principles, patterns and standards. (e.g. SOLID)
– Experience with Message Brokers (at least 1): Apache Kafka/AMQP/SQS
– Being a proactive team player with a high degree of self-management.
– Strong technical (hard) and communication (soft) skills
– Good English, both verbal communication and technical writing
Nice to have:
– Experience working with media and streaming (OTT)
