This role is based in our UK&I region.
We are developing an interface into motor partner personal insurance for one of the largest UK insurance companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. We are building our system using a combination of modern Front-end technologies, microservices architecture, proven integration patterns, and AWS Cloud.
As a part of our growing team, you will work together with customer’s international multi-functional agile delivery team, including analysts, architects, software engineers, and product owners, building and maintaining together cloud-based solutions.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in coding with Java back-end services
Experience of the Spring Framework / Spring Boot
Understanding of agile processes and incremental delivery, translating high-level ideas to stories
CI/CD experience
Knowledge of AWS Lambda
Ability to mentor team members
Ability to work in cross-geo teams
Excellent communication skills and desire to work in a creative environment
Job Responsibilities:
To contribute to the development effort alongside a team of offshore developers.
Work alongside customer colleagues to take feedback from any demo.
Troubleshoot any issues alongside customer colleagues.
Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary global team.
Participate in investigations and estimations for new features.
Responsible for implementing and testing designs for a variety of features
Produce and maintain clean Java code
Contribute to application’s architecture – design and build
Building & improving software and services through CI/CD pipelines
Take part in sprint planning and estimate development effort for features and stories, as well as participate in a code review process
