Description:
The client is a pioneer in medical devices for less invasive surgical procedures, ranking as a leader in the market for coronary stents. The company’s medical devices are used in a variety of interventional medical specialties, including interventional cardiology, peripheral interventions, vascular surgery, electrophysiology, neurovascular intervention, oncology, endoscopy, urology, gynecology, and neuromodulation.
The client’s mission is to improve the quality of patient care and the productivity of health care delivery through the development and advocacy of less-invasive medical devices and procedures. This is accomplished through the continuing refinement of existing products and procedures and the investigation and development of new technologies that can reduce risk, trauma, cost, procedure time, and the need for aftercare.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- 3+ years of relevant software development experience is required.
- Good understanding of Linux internals, interprocess communication, daemons, etc.
- Good knowledge of Linux network stack.
- Experience with the Python and Bash scripting languages.
- Experience with Git.
- At least Intermediate spoken English.
- Able to work and influence in a highly cross-functional team environment.
- Must be self-directed, resilient, and creative.
- Proficiency in Java 11/17 and good knowledge of object-oriented programming paradigms.
- Familiar with Healthcare.

Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in system-level requirements definition, architecture, design, and external communications/connectivity interface designs.
- Configuring and deploying an environment required for ongoing testing and development.
- Supporting migration from Ubuntu 14.04 to Ubuntu 20.04 with respect to the available and changed system and third-party libraries.
