Description:
Out company is a business planning software company headquartered in San Francisco, California. We sell subscriptions for cloud-based business-planning software and provides data for decision-making purposes. Our company products are used by over 1,000 organizations globally.
Requirements:
We are looking for a DBA to augment the Persistence team in supporting database users in US timezones. The ideal candidate would have experience with clustered MySQL and quickly understand normal patterns using available metrics. They would be expected to :
-Use and enhance existing automation to add new users across non-production and production environments based on a request queue
-Help drive best practices across multiple teams in connecting to and querying the database(s) to improve stability of services
-Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
-Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
-Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
-Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
Job Responsibilities:
User management for shared database, support in incidents where understanding of database metrics required
