Description:
We are looking for a technical writer trainee to join the GlobalLogic family in Kiyv. During a 3-months period, the candidate will be a part of one of the GL teams, and then most likely will either stay with that team, or become a part of another team.
Requirements:
- Fluent English (both written and spoken)
- Experience in writing technical documentation
- Be able to produce and organize content with a logical flow, consistently, and accurately
- Be attentive to details and kind of a perfectionist, able to cope with routine work
- Be sociable, proactive, and eager to learn business domain of the software products being described
- Experience with tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and Microsoft Office 365 tools (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Have basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML
- Have basic understanding of Agile software development processes
- Technical background in computer sciences
- Experience in proofreading and editing documentation
- Experience with video and screenshot authoring tools such as Camtasia and Snagit
- Experience with diagrams authoring tools such as Microsoft Visio
- Experience in using the command line, software testing, and working with prototype software in test environments.

Job Responsibilities:
- Do a hands-on research and obtain necessary technical content from subject matter experts
- Design, write, and edit technical and process documentation
- Do some managerial work for various documentation requests
- Create and maintain internal and external documentation
- Support multiple versions of documentation
- Work closely with the engineering, product, and support teams to ensure quality and accuracy of the documentation
- Perform unit testing of the software being described on multiple platforms such as web browsers, iOS, and Android.
