Description
The Project covers Phase 1a — Lift & Shift of an existing standalone domain-specific application to a centralized enterprise AI platform with minimal code changes. The goal is to transform the application from a stand-alone tool into a solution deployed on the shared AI platform, with future enhancements potentially enabling deployment of solution variants for additional business units. The engagement follows a joint delivery model: the domain organization owns business and domain accuracy, while the platform organization owns standardization, security, and shared services. The Project also supports consolidation of AI-related spending, centralized security and authentication, and the creation of a reusable blueprint for migrating similar vertical business applications onto the horizontal AI platform. The Architect will play a key role in shaping the target architecture, defining migration patterns, and establishing the foundation for future onboarding of additional applications.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in software architecture and engineering, with at least 3+ years focused on AI/ML solutions. Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale AI architectures, including LLM-based systems, RAG pipelines, and ML model deployment. Strong proficiency in Python and modern AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex or equivalent). Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their AI/ML services. Deep understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture. Solid knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases, including vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector). Experience designing secure, scalable, and observable AI systems in production. Familiarity with MLOps practices, CI/CD for ML, and model lifecycle management. Strong background in API design, event-driven architectures, and system integration patterns. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to lead architecture discussions, mentor engineering teams, and drive technical decisions across multiple workstreams. Upper-Intermediate or higher English for effective communication with international stakeholders.
Job responsibilities
Define and own the end-to-end architecture for AI-powered solutions, including data flow, model serving, integration, and security layers. Design migration strategies for moving standalone applications onto centralized AI platforms with minimal disruption. Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, ML engineers, and platform teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Establish architectural standards, reference patterns, and best practices for AI/ML solution delivery across the organization. Lead technical design reviews, evaluate trade-offs, and make decisions on technology stack, frameworks, and tooling. Ensure non-functional requirements — scalability, reliability, performance, security, and cost efficiency — are met across all AI workloads. Guide the integration of LLMs, RAG, and ML models into production systems with proper observability, evaluation, and guardrails. Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, conduct architecture and code reviews, and foster a culture of technical excellence. Stay current with advancements in AI, ML, and platform engineering, and bring relevant innovations into the delivery roadmap. Create and maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and decision records (ADRs). Support pre-sales, solution shaping, and effort estimation for new AI initiatives.
