Description

Our customer is a diversified media company and a leading provider of local sports and news. The Company provides services to 186 television stations in 87 markets; is a leading local news provider in the United States; owns multiple national networks; and has TV stations affiliated with all the major broadcast networks.

We are building an Android SDK for a new standard of broadcasting. This SDK uses C++ library for low-level signal processing. Applications developed with this SDK bring a new experience of watching TV with higher quality and interactive content. C++ library needs to be analyzed for gaps between implementation and standards, existing features adapted to changes in the standard, new features implementation and performance/stability optimization.

Requirements

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in a related field
• Demonstrable proficiency in C/C++, ideally for audio or video digital signal processing
• Familiarity with:
  – Scrum, Kanban, or lean software development principles
  – continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) infrastructure

Nice to have

• Knowledge and understanding of Digital Signal Processing algorithms

Job responsibilities

• Development and support of a library for broadcasting to work with different media and data processing
• Codebase covering tests, creation of specifications and documentation
• Work with multiple standards and documentation
• Regular meetings and discussions with the customer’s side of the team
