Requirements

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to design implement and optimise scalable secure and automated platforms supporting CI CD pipelines cloud infrastructure and DevSecOps practices.

This role requires a strong balance between hands on engineering automation expertise and platform thinking with the ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the software delivery lifecycle.

You will collaborate with cross functional teams across development operations and platform engineering contributing to cloud native transformation and CI CD ecosystem standardisation including Ericsson frameworks such as ADP DPaaS and CSDP.

Key Responsibilities

CI CD and Automation

Design implement and maintain scalable CI CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions and Gerrit

Enable pipeline as code practices using YAML and Jenkinsfile

Integrate automated testing including unit integration performance and security into pipelines

Drive GitOps practices using tools like ArgoCD and FluxCD

Cloud and Infrastructure

Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code including Terraform CloudFormation ARM and Pulumi

Work across AWS Azure or GCP environments

Ensure reliability scalability and cost optimisation with FinOps awareness

Containerisation and Cloud Native

Implement and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes

Use Helm charts for deployments and configuration management

Support microservices and service mesh architectures

Monitoring and Observability

Implement monitoring logging and alerting using Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack Splunk and Datadog

Improve system reliability through proactive observability

Security and Compliance DevSecOps

Integrate security scanning tools including SAST and DAST into CI CD pipelines

Manage secrets using tools like Vault Key Vault and Secrets Manager

Ensure compliance with organisational security and governance standards

Toolchain and Development Enablement

Manage source code management systems including GitHub GitLab Bitbucket and Gerrit

Support build tools including Maven Gradle and Ant

Maintain artifact repositories including Nexus and Artifactory

Enable reuse through development of shared assets and frameworks such as SWPS assets

Continuous Improvement and Automation

Identify inefficiencies and automate manual workflows

Improve deployment frequency lead time and change success rate

Drive standardisation of DevOps practices across teams

Collaboration and Leadership

Work closely with CSDP DevTools Operations and Product Teams

Prioritise and manage backlog items aligned with business goals

Provide training documentation and onboarding support

Mentor engineers and promote DevOps best practices

Required Skills and Experience

5 plus years of experience in DevOps Cloud Engineering or CI CD

Strong expertise in

CI CD tools and pipeline design

Cloud platforms AWS Azure or GCP

Containerisation Docker and orchestration Kubernetes

Hands on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools

Strong scripting skills in Python Bash or Go

Experience in monitoring and observability tools

Good understanding of microservices and cloud native architectures

Experience working in Agile environments

Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with GitOps tools ArgoCD and FluxCD

Exposure to Ericsson platforms ADP DPaaS and CSDP

Knowledge of DevSecOps practices

Experience with FinOps and cost optimisation

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Prior experience in Telecom domain is a plus
