Description
The current project (third one that GL team develops for E.On) is meant to support E.On’s main goal namely to become The Partner of Choice in the Romanian Energy Market. In this respect the following 3 main directions will be pursued in order to deliver internal and external modern and innovative digital services and products that support E.On’s business and customers:
eon.ro – sales platform and the one point of contact for their digital services.
a portal based on data with a diversified product catalog powered by an automated end-to-end workflow. A gateway for digital sales processes that will go through the entire layers of the IT Architecture and capabilities.
eon.ro/Myline – Customer Portal
Designed for self-service, with a vision of becoming a full end-to-end service-to-sales-to-service portal, where customers can obtain personalized offers, information, and guidance. With a wide range of functionalities, the project aims to enhance performance and usability and integrate personalization. That will lead to a sustained shift towards self-service, a decreased cost to serve, and increased revenue by connecting services to products.
E.ON Myline mobile app – Android and iOS native application
The current project is looking into enhancing the functionalities and portfolio of products that are going to be available on mobile apps, also looking into features and services that will only be available on this channel.
Requirements
To deliver internal and external modern and innovative digital services and products that support eon’s business and customers led by the following principles:
– Architectural Consistency – business value creation is mandatory and the main driver of all changes. Architecture is meant to support the creation of new revenues streams of cost decrease. All projects start with a strong architecture design focused on data before application centricity, aligned with overall E.ON IT Architecture.
– Data Architecture – build and integrate solutions having in mind a data architecture that ensures data is available, sharable, and easily accessible considering all legal/regulatory security requirements.
– Complexity Reduction – all decisions are to be challenged upfront to avoid architecture complexity and assure scalability and reutilization.
– API Integration – internal and external integration needs to be done via smart API integration. The API-only principle is mandatory for all application interfaces. Modular design allows for a high degree of flexibility, adaptability, reusability, and extensibility.
– Cloud-first – enforce pay-as-you-go and design for elastic computing provisioning.
– Security by design – follow E.ON security principles in solutions and platforms design from the beginning. Create fit-for-purpose security that addresses business risks but also enables business agility.
