SUMMARY
The Master Data (MDM) Developer designs, enhances, and supports global data platforms in a continuous improvement environment. This position works side-by-side with other master data developers, data engineers, architects, and analysts to design, configure, and develop validations, workflows, integrations, and business rules using the latest in cloud master data, product information management (PIM), data warehouse, and integrations technologies to support best data governance practices.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer programming, computer engineering or related field preferred, or comparable job-related experience and training
3 to 5 years or more proven and relevant work experience
Certificates, License & Registrations
STIBO STEP or other MDM/PIM software certification a plus
Competencies (Skills & Abilities)
Building and maintaining data designs, validation rules, user interface, and workflows using Stibo Systems (preferred) or other MDM/PIM software (i.e. Informatica, IBM MDM, Riversand, EnterWorks)
Experience working with multiple database systems (Snowflake, Redshift, MySQL or similar)
Experience developing and executing data migration processes
Proficiency in JavaScript or other scripting language,
Hands on experience on data integration tools (i.e., Matillion, Boomi, Datastage or similar), SQL query development and management, cloud-based data warehouse experience a plus
Experience or knowledge of data modelling
Thrives and self-motivates in a fast-moving remote work environment, working on a variety of projects and technologies in an agile, team-based culture
Self-starting with strong technical skills, problem solving abilities, organizational skills, and detail-orientation
Communicates comfortably and effectively using the appropriate level of detail with all levels of the organization
Ability to work in a highly collaborative and consensus driven environment and comfortable with ambiguity and change in a fast-paced environment
Job responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop and support the data structure designs, validations, workflows, and integrations in our master data management, product information management, and related systems
Collaborate with data stewards, data domain owners, and other data engineers to analyze, design, build and run, delivering at-scale solutions to meet internal and external customer requirements.
Build, document, and maintain an understanding of master data dependencies across our global data systems, enterprise, and regional business systems dependent on them
Convert requirements into elegant, cleanly designed, and easily maintained solutions in a cloud-based environment
Achieve and maintain data compliance to legal and regulatory standards such as the USA’s Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Collaborate with other data engineers to coordinate data sharing across the domain
Perform other duties as needed or required
