We are looking for an experienced, open-minded, and creative QA Automation Engineer with either software development or a QA background and experience working with embedded devices. You will be working with embedded hardware on a daily basis, and your work will be focused primarily on this area.

- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in manual and automated testing of Embedded IoT solutions using Python and shell scripting on Linux platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Python with proven experience in developing automated tests and building test frameworks using Pytest, including fixtures, parametrize, conftest, and plugin-based extensions.
- Hands-on experience with IoT wireless protocol validation across gateways and end nodes, covering functional, performance, endurance, security, and integration testing.
- Commercial experience in manual testing with direct hardware interaction, including setting up, maintaining, and evolving hardware testbeds.
Practical experience working with hardware interfaces such as UART, USB, HDMI, IP, or similar protocols. - Experience supporting pre-certification and compliance testing for US and European regulatory requirements, including collaboration with 3rd-party equipment vendors.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to independently generate ideas and solutions, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Identify gaps in protocol test coverage and define new manual test case scenarios
- Design, implement, and execute manual and automated test cases for embedded IoT devices
- Validate wireless protocol behavior across IoT gateways and multiple end nodes
- Build, extend, and maintain test automation frameworks using Python and Pytest
- Set up, maintain, and evolve testbeds involving hardware interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, I3C, USB, IP, etc.)
- Support pre-certification and compliance testing for US, Europe, and regulatory bodies
- Collaborate with 3rd-party equipment vendors for certification campaigns
- Analyze test results and work with developers/engineers for bug fixes and improvements
- Provide technical assessments to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
- Contribute to QA strategy definition and test campaign management
