Description

The System Engineer is responsible for the overall system-level design, architecture, technical decisions, and documentation for the product or platform. The role ensures that system requirements, safety, cybersecurity, and architectural considerations are properly defined, implemented, and maintained throughout the development lifecycle.

Acting as both system and software architect, the System Engineer guides development teams in making sound technical and design decisions while ensuring compliance with functional safety and cybersecurity standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in system engineering, system architecture, or software architecture roles.
• Strong understanding of system design principles, architecture frameworks, and integration concepts.
• Experience with cybersecurity and functional safety standards and documentation.
• Experience working with system requirements, technical specifications, and design documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and guide engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job responsibilities

• Lead and execute all system engineering activities across the product lifecycle.
• Develop, maintain, and own system architecture and design documentation.
• Define and own the overall system design, interfaces, and technical architecture.
• Act as the system and software architect, providing technical guidance and design direction to development teams.
• Prepare and maintain cybersecurity-related documentation and ensure compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
• Prepare and maintain all functional safety and system safety documentation.
• Support risk analysis, hazard assessments, and safety concept development.
• Ensure system designs meet performance, quality, scalability, safety, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, architects, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business and product goals.
• Participate in technical reviews, design reviews, and governance activities.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex system-level technical issues.
• Drive continuous improvement in system engineering processes, methods, and documentation practices.
