Role: Lead Integration Engineer
Location: Deerfield, IL (Hybrid 3 days a week from office)

GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in Deerfield, IL location within the USA to be $120K to $140K. This reflects base salary only and does not include additional performance-linked variable compensation, benefits etc that may apply to the role. We are seeking a hands-on Lead Integration Engineer to drive the design, development, and delivery of high-performance microservices on Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will lead a collaborative engineering team, establish architectural best practices, and deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment.
Requirements
- Technical Skills – Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Azure, Kafka
- Minimum 6–8 years of software development experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in Core Java and object-oriented design principles.
- Deep expertise in J2EE frameworks, including Spring, JPA, and Hibernate.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot, RESTful Web Services, and Microservices architecture.
- Hands-on working experience with RDBMS / MySQL databases.
- Proficiency in documenting code and processes using standard tools such as Postman and Swagger.
- Strong working experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
- Basic understanding of caching mechanisms (Redis) and search/indexing platforms (Elasticsearch).
Job responsibilities
- Lead a high-performance team by providing hands-on guidance along with individual contributions.
- Work closely with Technical and Product Managers to define and plan projects and activities.
- Develop and implement an architectural strategy.
- Facilitate team collaboration toward software engineering best practices and solutions that meet customer needs.
- Ensure high-quality code is produced and maintained through code reviews and frequent defect prevention activities.
- Work closely in small teams to create well-integrated products in short design cycles with robust documentation and reusable artifacts.
