Requirements
- Possessing 4-6 years of dedicated professional experience in a Scrum Master role, demonstrating a proven track record of successfully guiding Agile teams through complex software development lifecycles.
- This position operates entirely remotely, requiring a high degree of self-discipline and effective virtual collaboration to ensure seamless team integration and project delivery across diverse geographical locations.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency and hands-on implementation experience with Scrum methodologies, effectively applying principles to optimize team performance and project outcomes.
- Proven advanced expertise as a Scrum Master, including strong working knowledge of facilitating ceremonies, coaching teams, and removing impediments in a dynamic environment.
- Strong working knowledge and practical experience in applying Agile principles and practices beyond Scrum, fostering adaptability and continuous improvement within development teams.
- Solid capability in intermediate stakeholder management, effectively communicating with diverse groups to align expectations and ensure project transparency and support.
- Exceptional fluency in both English and Japanese, demonstrated through professional communication, documentation, and facilitation with diverse international teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with foundational business analysis concepts, including requirements gathering and process mapping, to support product understanding and team alignment.
- Basic understanding of product management principles and product strategy development, contributing to a broader perspective on product lifecycle and market fit.
Job responsibilities
- Implement and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring their effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain a clear understanding of team progress, identifying and actively working to remove impediments that hinder sprint goals.
- Analyze team performance metrics and foster continuous improvement within the development process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with product owners and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project status and requirements.
- Enhance the team’s adherence to Agile principles and Scrum framework, providing coaching and guidance on best practices.
- Maintain transparency across the team and with stakeholders regarding project progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Develop strategies to improve team collaboration and self-organization, promoting a culture of accountability.
- Facilitate effective communication channels between English-speaking and Japanese-speaking team members and stakeholders to bridge language barriers.
- Implement solutions to resolve conflicts and foster a positive, productive working environment for the Scrum team.
- Analyze and manage sprint backlogs, ensuring stories are well-defined and ready for development.
