Description

Project is focused on quality assurance for SIM cards, telecommunication modules and web portals for managing fleets of devices/SIMs .
Telecommunication modules are industrial-quality products which provide any system with the ability to communicate over cellular network and work with SIM Cards in different standards (SGP.22, SGP.32).

Web portals are used for Devices (Modules/ SIM) management and to request actions from SIM cards and Modules.
Validation in this project requires a lot of testing in different network conditions, environments, and protocol verification Devices both on cellular network side 2G-5G , SIM connectivity side and connectivity with web portals side.

Apart from manual tests there are also automated tests which allow for faster verification. However, because of verification complexity, most of tests required at least some human checks to confirm correct behavior.
In case any issues are found, department assists development with identification of possible reasons, reproduction routes, log gathering etc.

Requirements

• At least 2 years experience in wireless telecommunication projects
• Higher Education in the fields of telecommunication, electronics, robotics, information technologies or related
• Eager to learn new technologies and ready for new challenges
• Ability to take responsibility for tasks realization and high quality assurance
• Willingness to show initiative and fulfilling commitments
• Knowledge of GSM, UMTS and LTE protocols (e.g. NAS, RRC, L2, L1) and experience in mobile procedure testing
• Experienced in working with documentation of e.g. 3GPP, GSMA standard, GCF, PTCRB
• Effective communication skills
• Communicative level of English – spoken and written

Preferences

• Knowledge about Mobile Telecommunication Networks and basic understand what SIM Card is for
• Experience with any telecommunication devices and AT command interface
• Experience in field testing of UE/ME
• Familiar with tracing tools provided by different chipset vendors (e.g. QXDM)

 

Nice to have

• ISTQB certificate
• Experience in working with Web portals to manage devices / SIMs
• Experience in working with tools to collect logs from devices (Wireshark, QXDM, etc)
• Experience in API requests to communicate with web portals
• Programing in Java or Python 

Job responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain test environments for GSM-related embedded software testing.
• Analyze requirements and design test cases for IP services.
• Execute functional, regression, and defect verification testing.
• Report defects and perform retesting after fixes are delivered.
• Analyze system logs to validate test results and identify false positive and false negative outcomes.
• Design and develop automated test cases using Python.
• Review Python code in line with project coding standards and guidelines.
• Apply software testing best practices and ISTQB Foundation Level knowledge in daily testing activities.
