Description
Seeking a Software Engineer to join the Platform Networking Team. The team builds low-level networking software, software-defined networking (SDN) stacks, driver integrations, and custom daemons powering our data center network fabric. You will port network daemons and enable next-generation SmartNIC and NIC hardware support on our new ARM server fleet.
Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in low-level networking software development and Linux internals.
Solid understanding of Linux network stack internals, socket programming, TCP/IP, VLANs, VXLAN, and virtual switching
Familiarity with PCIe device drivers, SmartNIC architecture, or packet processing pipelines
Experience with Linux network debugging tools (Wireshark, tcpdump)
Nice to Have Skills
Experience porting custom network daemons or working with Mellanox/NVIDIA SDKs
Exposure to kernel bypass frameworks (DPDK) or PCIe device drivers
PCIe device drivers, SmartNIC
Job responsibilities
Port internal networking daemons, virtual switches, and tools to run natively on ARM64 host environments.
Optimize virtual switching components, overlay networking, and packet processing throughput across host and guest boundaries.
Implement host-level driver and software support for NVIDIA BlueField (BF3/BF4) SmartNICs and ConnectX (CX8/CX9) network cards on ARM server hosts.
Troubleshoot low-level network driver, socket layer, PCIe device, and packet routing behaviors on Linux ARM platforms.
