Description:

Our innovative and growing company is looking for an experienced candidate for the position of Automotive Senior Lead Software Engineer. The project involves being part of a distributed global and highly technical development team to design electronic state-of-the-art Automotive Products. You will have the chance to be part of a technical team to help achieve release objectives and results that meet or exceed business partners and customers expectations. Requirements:

Education
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical, Computer Science or Computer
Engineering Master’s in Electrical, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering preferred

• 3+ years of software design and development experience
• 2+ years of experience in technical leadership/technical program
• management.
• 4-6 years of experience regarding Responsibility / Main Activities (listed
• above) in product development with comparable experience in automotive
• (mandatory); HMI products/ electronics (preferable) industry.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain
• complex technical systems in simple terms. Controlled under significant
• pressure.
• Ability to lead a cross-functional engineering team, challenge team members
• where necessary, and motivate the team to deliver excellent results
• Ability to clearly & concisely communicate in English (both verbal and
• written).
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with SDLC management tools
• experience with requirements management / ALM tools

• Lead joint activities with the internal teams to diagnose root cause and implement corrective actions for system issues

• Review and approve software work products created by peers to ensure completeness and correctness and advise on necessary changes

• Provides direct support to the leadership in preparation of reports and related documentation.

• Lead, plan and prepare software releases for further testing by internal teams


Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage software (SW) development activities of the project
• Single point of contact on every aspect of SW development for the project
• Lead and manage customer expectations and negotiate Software deliverables and content.
• Develops and maintains detailed SW development /implementation /validation plans.
• synchronize with the Technical Project Lead (TPL) and Project/Program Manager (PM) for consistent and cohesive overall SW development plan rolling up to program life plan.
• Ensures SW engineering deliverables are on-time and meet or exceed quality expectations.
• Lead and coordinate with the Engineering Supervisor/ Manager to prioritize SW engineering resources.
• Pan all SW project development activities, coordinate SW development status meetings, SW design and technical reviews, and deliverables from program star through launch
• Work with software development team to review/understand requirements and specifications for technical design, obtain information on system capabilities limitations and performance requirements.
• Acts as the primary interface between internal groups for software issues concerns.
• Acts as the primary Software technical interface with NSI engineering team and coordinate with System requirement engineering

• Track day-to-day activities of the software development team
• Track SW project open issues, gather regular updates, and drives issues to closure
• Drive SW development team in root cause analysis for customer issue resolution, assist in root cause analysis if needed.
• Actively drives adoption & implementation of NSNADC Software Development Process.
• Lead and drive SW development through the Software Development Life Cycle processes and procedures as defined and established in the organization.
• Lead, manage, and drive any process non-conformance to closure
• Review, update, and monitor external and internal dependencies
• Escalate Risks and plan risk mitigation
• Monitor SW project KPl’s, and escalate any deviation

• coordinate with Engineering Supervisor/ Manager to plan and procure tools needed for the project.

• Coordinate with System Engineering, manage and negotiate customer SW requirements, SW change requests.
• Lead SW Product Development Team (PDT) Meetings and coordinate with SW Supervisors/Managers to run the SW Change Control Board (CCB) meetings
• Attends customer program PDT meetings, records all decision points impacting SW, and communicates.
• Supports customer presentations and acts as the primary product interface to customers on software topics.
• Coordinates engineering quoting activity and reviews proposal for accuracy for SW components.

 

• Provide feedback to Supervisors and Managers to improve efficiency
• Identify risks related to SW Project, document them in RAID log, and get them sorted out through corrective actions

• Manage changes, consolidate engineering estimates, cost and timing impacts, and negotiate technical requirements with NSI Engineering, manufacturability, smooth transition into manufacturing and testing of the SW components of the product

• Lead activity related to work product preparation in support of internal audits for process compliance and software release activity
• Reviews SW engineering work products, ensuring they are prepared and stored correctly and revisions are managed
• Adhere to budgets and keep projects on track for successful completion within defined schedule and budget.
