What is GenAI?

Generative AI (GenAI) is an artificial intelligence model that rapidly creates new content such as text, visual images, audio and video, and code and structured data in response to a user prompt. These large language models (LLMs), such as Perplexity, GPT-4, and Claude, learn from vast amounts of data sets and then produce content that is usually coherent and often indistinguishable from human-created content. GenAI  automates repetitive tasks, increases productivity, and can greatly enhance creativity.  

How does GenAI work?

Generative AI is based on models that have been trained using large volumes of datasets called self- supervised learning. The models identify patterns, structures, and relationships, and then generate outputs by using this training in response to a specific user instruction.
