What is Large Language Model?
A Large Language Model (LLM) is an artificial intelligence program that has been given enough data gathered from the Internet and other complex data to be able to recognize and generate human language. From these inputs, LLMs engage in deep learning to understand patterns, meanings, and structures of language to perform such tasks as text generation, analysis, answering questions, supporting conversational interactions, and summarization. LLMs are built on neural networks that enable this deep learning. Some of the best known LLMs include, Microsoft’s Copilot, OpenAI’s ChatGPT-5 and ChatGPT-5, and Google’s Gemini.
How does Large Language Model work?
Large language models are built on machine learning and trained on huge datasets, like books, articles, and websites. LLMs convert these words into numbers in a process called embeddings., which makes it easier for the model to fully understand the language and its meaning. As it trains, the LLM adjusts tiny settings, called parameters, into a step called optimization. This helps the model become more efficient and accurate over time. Then the LLM stores its knowledge, in a stage called inference, known as the model’s knowledge bank. LLMs allow organizations to build automated chatbots, virtual assistants, and knowledge applications and tools that scale.
