Description:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Java software engineer who is considering to switch to Scala for the project which is related to the development of the brand-new order management system for the global media and entertainment company that encompasses a diverse portfolio of television networks, film studios, theme parks and digital platforms.
The engineer will have the opportunity to be part of a strong R&D group that creates a cutting-edge solution designed to streamline and optimize business operations, provide seamless order processing, inventory management and real-time tracking by ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
Wage: From 2450 € gross monthly. Final salary will reflect your skills and experience
Requirements:
Must have
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in Java, 3+ years of total experience
- Ready to learn and work with Scala, we are considering people who can switch to Scala with Java experience
- At least 1 years of experience building and deploying complex scalable software solutions
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration
- Self-starter who knows how to work around dead ends, can pick something up on the fly
- Good analytical mindset with personal skills allowing find solution on your own or by brainstorming with colleagues
- Strong knowledge and experience in building distributed solutions
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems & communication protocols
- Strong experience with Docker and containers orchestration
- Good understanding of SOLID principles, including design skills using DDD, OOP and OOD patterns
- Degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Strong experience with working in Agile (Scrum) environment
- Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders
- Experience in mentoring others and leading teams would be a big plus

- Experience with analytics and ads integration
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop microservice applications from scratch
- Deliver high-level quality solution
- Work as part of Agile (Scrum) team to develop new functionality & products
- Negotiate with the customer
- Estimate tasks for the team
- Ensure high quality of deliverables
- Generate and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with product owners to break down high level requirements into understandable pieces of work
- Refactor, optimize and fix defects in existing code base
- Identify the best ways to refactor opportunistically as well as a longer-term plan
- Conduct code reviews
- Drive best practices across the team
- Research new technologies and approaches to improve existing products
- Provide input into the technology roadmap
