Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- +5 years of proven experience developing Android applications in Java and/or Kotlin.
- Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related development tools.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries and APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
- Published apps on the Google Play Store is a plus.
- Advanced English Level.
Job Responsibilities:
- Experience building Android apps in Java
- Experience deploying Android apps
- Experience writing design docs
- Experience triaging and managing bugs/tasks independently and monitoring the health of an app
- Build and push monthly releases, manage all aspects of this process
- Monitor and fix build related issues
- Handle escalations, bugs mandates, etc as they come up
- Add new features into the app as requested
- This includes researching and designing how to implement the new features within the app and working with Currents eng to safely launch the new features
- Ideally someone senior who can manage the day-to-day tasks of owning a mobile client and also make prioritization decisions for incoming bugs.
- Expecting weekly check-ins and will have a group chat for questions that come in in between.
